CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hi!

I am going to write about the changes I would make to my program of study in the career of architecture.

 

I think that the program is very interesting, also gives us good tools to develop as professionals, but could improve. 

First, the infrastructure of the faculty does not help to be better students. We need more spaces of study, rest, etc. 

Secondly, I think that the program as such should include teach more about the laws and norms that govern in Chile, because most of the projects are approved based on following the regulations. In addition, teach about economics and administration. It is true that we can make specialties about that, but if we are given bases from the university we will be able to be better professionals with knowledge and better handle the work that we must perform. 

I also consider that we are not taught technology programs to all students equally, because of the different sections. Therefore we should make compulsory and didactic courses. 

Another topic that can be improved is the way of teaching, our career is about observe, touch, walk looking at the city. We don’t have the enough field trips that we need. We can go to material factories, go to architectural works, heritage buildings, museums, libraries, go to other faculties. We have many possibilities and options of visits. 

To conclude, we have a good program, but everything can be improved, and what we need to improve does not need a large budget just will and organization.
